Finance Intern

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Finance Intern to join our Project Accounting team in Vancouver. The role provides hands‑on exposure to project‑based finance within a professional services environment, supporting cost tracking, reporting, and forecasting for live projects.

Key responsibilities

• Support project accounting activities, including cost tracking, job costing, and financial performance monitoring.
• Assist with preparation and maintenance of Work in Progress (WIP), accruals, and revenue recognition data.
• Support monthly project reporting, analysing actuals versus budget and forecast.
• Help project accountants and finance managers with project setup, updates, and financial controls.
• Review project financial data to identify variances, risks, and data integrity issues.
• Update forecasts based on project performance and scope changes.
• Assist with invoicing support, reconciliations, and financial system data checks.
• Provide ad‑hoc analysis and administrative support to the Project Finance team.

Required profile

• Currently studying (or recently completed) a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.

Required skills

• Good working knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, lookups, basic financial modeling).
