Field Technician 1 / Labourer – Entry Level Construction

About the role

Join Jayman BUILT’s award‑winning construction team as a Field Technician 1/Labourer. This entry‑level position provides hands‑on experience building wood‑frame residential homes and offers a clear pathway toward a Superintendent role.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly job site and interior of homes.
• Assist the Project Superintendent and Field Tech 2 with quality‑control inspections.
• Communicate effectively with trades, staff, and customers to support team collaboration.
• Follow directions, work independently, and adapt to changing site needs.

Required profile

• Strong work ethic with flexibility to start early, stay late, or work Saturdays as needed.
• Physical fitness and willingness to perform manual labour.
• Reliable personal vehicle and basic hand tools.
• Dependable, proactive, and able to meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Standard First Aid certification (preferred).
• CSTS certification (preferred).
• WHMIS certification (preferred).
• Basic knowledge of building trades such as carpentry, drywall, or finishing (preferred).
