About the role
The Field Advisor supports the field experiences of teacher candidates at the Okanagan School of Education, acting as the university’s representative in schools and community settings. This role connects candidates, practicing teachers, faculty, and community partners to integrate theory with practice.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and support field placements for teacher candidates.
- Facilitate connections among candidates, practicing teachers, faculty members, and community partners.
- Represent the university in schools and community contexts.
- Assist the Field Experience Coordinator and Director of Undergraduate Programs with program administration.
Required profile
- Ability to work collaboratively with teacher candidates, educators, and faculty.
- Willingness to complete required background checks.
- Understanding of the mission and priorities of the Okanagan School of Education.
