Family Doctor

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Family Doctor to join our urban private practice clinic. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, fostering long‑term health relationships within the community.

Key responsibilities

• Collect medical histories from patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Examine patients to diagnose diseases, injuries, and health conditions.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, X‑rays, and other diagnostic procedures.
• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
• Report births, deaths, contagious diseases, and other public‑health concerns to authorities.
• Coordinate primary patient care and manage acute health episodes.
• Provide counseling and support on health, lifestyle, and preventive care.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent) with licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
• College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP) or equivalent credential.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently in a private‑practice setting.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
