Fall STEM Instructor – Bloor West

About the role

MakerKids is seeking enthusiastic, tech‑savvy instructors to lead after‑school and weekend STEM programs this fall. You will guide children aged 6‑13 through hands‑on projects that explore coding, robotics, and game development.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging STEM classes using tools such as Micro:bit, Scratch, Minecraft, Python, Roblox Studio, Unreal Engine and Unity.
• Adapt lessons for beginners to advanced learners, ensuring a fun and inclusive environment.
• Communicate student progress to parents and maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
• Support occasional off‑site sessions at schools or community centres.

Required profile

• Student or recent graduate in a STEAM field.
• Previous experience working with children (tutoring, camps, coaching, teaching, etc.).
• Creative, energetic, and passionate about making technology education enjoyable.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada and able to pass background and vulnerable sector checks.
