Facilities Supervisor

About the role

The Facilities Supervisor will ensure the safe, reliable and efficient day‑to‑day operation and maintenance of all onsite buildings, infrastructure and systems for the Woodfibre LNG project located near Squamish, British Columbia. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the role provides frontline supervision of maintenance personnel, contractors and service providers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development of standards, work practices and procedures for building operations.
• Supervise daily operation and maintenance of onsite buildings and facilities.
• Coordinate and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, security, lighting and building automation systems.
• Conduct routine facility inspections, identify deficiencies and ensure timely corrective action.
• Maintain clean, organized and operationally ready facilities and support maintenance planning and scheduling.
• Manage facility shutdowns, repairs, inspections and service interruptions.
• Support capital projects, upgrades and facility improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports and documentation.
• Monitor building condition, identify reliability risks and contribute to long‑term maintenance strategies.
• Assist in managing facility budgets and controlling maintenance costs.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors, vendors and service providers, including administration of site service contracts.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising facilities or maintenance teams in an industrial or construction environment.
• Strong ability to coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
• Experience managing contractor performance, service contracts and vendor relationships.
• Knowledge of safety, environmental, quality and regulatory standards applicable to large‑scale facilities.
• Capability to support capital projects, budget management and lifecycle planning.
