About the role
PRAXIS SITE SERVICES LTD. is looking for an Excavating Machine Operator to operate and maintain heavy equipment on construction sites in Surrey, BC. The role involves handling computer‑controlled machinery, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring safe operation on‑site.
Key responsibilities
- Operate heavy and computer‑controlled excavation equipment.
- Clean, lubricate, and refill equipment tanks; conduct pre‑operational checks.
- Measure distance, volume, length and weight as required.
- Secure special attachments and operate hydraulic pumping systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications.
Required profile
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 to less than 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
Required skills
- Heavy equipment operation.
- Computer‑controlled machinery operation.
- Hydraulic pumping system operation.
- Blueprint and drawing interpretation.
