Event Porter - Arcadian

About the role

A part-time Event Porter position at the Arcadian venue in Toronto, one of the city's most sought-after event spaces. Working alongside the Events and Operations teams, you will handle the full setup and teardown of event spaces, keeping the venue clean and ready for each event. The role suits someone reliable, physically capable and comfortable in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and set up event spaces according to floor plans, event specifications and client requests, to O&B standards
• Assist with early morning setups and coordinate with team members during setup and teardown
• Lift, move and arrange furniture, equipment, décor and other materials safely
• Complete teardown so the venue is cleared, organized and maintained
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of event spaces throughout operations
• Receive, organize and sign off on materials and deliveries, and communicate updates to management
• Welcome and assist clients, vendors and delivery teams
• Follow Health & Safety regulations and support the Events and Operations teams

Required profile

• Physically capable of lifting and moving up to 50 lbs
• Flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends and occasional overnight shifts; availability for possible overnight shifts
• Legally eligible to work in Canada
• Dependable, reliable and goal-oriented with a strong work ethic
