About the role
The Communications & Production unit at McGill University is seeking a motivated student to support ticket sales and front‑of‑house operations for concerts and events. This part‑time, work‑study position offers hands‑on experience in a vibrant cultural environment.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct in‑person and telephone ticket sales using a web‑based ticketing system (training provided).
- Balance and account for credit and debit card receipts from daily transactions.
- Distribute reserved tickets and manage ticket inventory.
- Answer phone inquiries about concert schedules, programs, and locations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the team.
Required profile
- Customer‑service oriented with the ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Professional, proactive, and available to work days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
- High conversational proficiency in both French and English.
- Basic knowledge of concert music; CPR and First Aid training are assets.
- Authorized to work in Canada and willing to work on the McGill campus in Quebec.
