Etch Process Engineer – DRIE Specialist (Bromont, QC)

About the role

We are seeking an Etch Process Engineer with expertise in DRIE and plasma etching to join a leading MEMS foundry in Bromont, Quebec. The role focuses on developing, optimizing and qualifying etching and photoresist stripping processes for a variety of materials used in aerospace, defense, optics and photonics applications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, adjust and optimize DRIE plasma etching processes to meet customer specifications.
• Adapt existing processes for new customers and emerging technologies.
• Design, qualify and improve recipes for plasma etching and photoresist stripping on silicon, oxides and metals.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure process reliability and yield.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, applied physics, microelectronics or a related field.
• At least three years of hands‑on experience with plasma etching technologies (DRIE, RIE, ICP).
• Proven experience in micro‑/nano‑fabrication and clean‑room environments.
• Fluency in French is mandatory.
