Environmental Service Worker / Cleaner

About the role

The Interior Health Authority is looking for a reliable and flexible Environmental Service Worker to join the Support Services team at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital in Trail, BC. This casual position involves maintaining clean and sanitary conditions throughout the facility in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping duties throughout the hospital, including patient rooms, washrooms, corridors, lounges, offices and common areas.
• Maintain clean and sanitary conditions to support infection control and patient safety.
• Follow established cleaning protocols and use appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Work rotating shifts covering day, evening and night schedules as needed.

Required profile

• Reliable, flexible and motivated individual.
• Minimum education: Grade 10 or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
