Environmental Engineer – Design & Assessment

About the role

JR Cousin Consultants Ltd. is seeking an Environmental Engineer to join its Winnipeg team. The role focuses on conducting impact and feasibility studies, designing water and waste management systems, and supporting construction projects through technical supervision and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct environmental impact and feasibility studies.
• Plan and design water and waste management systems.
• Perform site visits to collect relevant data.
• Prepare contract documents, review tenders, and evaluate construction proposals.
• Supervise technicians, technologists, and junior engineers; review designs, calculations, and cost estimates.
• Write progress reports and maintain project documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with a provincial/territorial association.
• No prior experience required; training will be provided.
• Strong attention to detail, accurate written and oral communication, organized, and a team player.
