About the role
Entry Level Labour positions involve a variety of physical and operational tasks at Elk Valley Resources' mining operations. New hires receive extensive internal training and have opportunities for career growth within the mining sector.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies.
- Perform physical labour, janitorial duties, operate equipment, and handle steam bay duties.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Perform heavy lifting safely.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
- Previous heavy equipment operation or industrial experience is an asset.
- Willingness to meet pre‑employment drug screening and reference checks.
- Ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Sparwood, BC.
