Engineering Manager – Product & Tooling Development

About the role

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead product and tooling design, development and quoting for customer components at our Brawo Lofthouse plant in Burk's Falls, Ontario. The role reports to the Plant Manager and will drive engineering support for production and sales while ensuring safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the engineering team to support production design changes and sales quoting processes.
• Represent Brawo Lofthouse on customer and supplier visits, both on‑site and off‑site.
• Collaborate with the toolroom on DXF files, grinding templates, CAD model updates, Parasolid files and related documentation.
• Maintain best practices in document control for electronic drawings, CAD files, reference standards, PDM, GD&T, calculations, JD Edwards part numbers, BOMs and routers.
• Provide strategic and technical oversight to improve lead‑times, reduce errors and increase production efficiency.
• Complete the engineering portion of sales quotations and participate in management review initiatives.
• Develop engineering KPIs, track performance outcomes and set departmental goals.
• Coach, train and evaluate design and tool‑room personnel, manage workloads and conduct performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and collaborate with production and quality on customer concerns.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and external vendors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field.
• 8–10 years of experience in high‑volume manufacturing or design management.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Project management experience is an asset.
