Employment Lawyer

About the role

Our client, a respected employment law boutique, is looking for a management‑side Employment Lawyer with at least five years of relevant practice. The role involves providing practical, day‑to‑day advice to employers of all sizes and collaborating closely with in‑house counsel and HR teams across Canada.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver “hotline” advice on a wide range of workplace issues.
• Negotiate and draft settlement agreements.
• Prepare communications, policies, and procedural documents for employer clients.
• Manage litigation matters from inception to resolution.
• Stay current on employment and regulatory developments affecting Canadian workplaces.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience handling employment law matters on the employer side.
• Client‑focused practitioner able to manage complex business and HR issues independently.
• Strong practice‑management skills with the ability to meet tight turnaround timelines.
• Self‑starter who can work without a pre‑existing book of business.
