Electrical Engineer (ETO) – Rotational Position

About the role

The Electrical Engineer (ETO) will be based on MV Isabelle X/Saga‑Company vessels operating out of Squamish, BC. This rotational, three‑year contract involves designing, installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on a floatel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, plan and oversee installation of power generation, distribution, lighting and control systems.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs for all electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions, perform repairs or coordinate specialized repairs with contractors.
• Monitor electrical consumption and implement energy‑saving measures.
• Conduct inspections, tests and risk assessments to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs and inspections.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and other departments to address electrical requirements and provide technical support.
• Participate in safety drills, emergency response activities and provide training to technicians and crew.

Required profile

• Availability for a rotational schedule (three‑year term with possible extension).
• Ability to work onsite on vessels in a marine environment.
• Fluent English for all communications.
