EDM Operator – Wire & Sink Machines

About the role

Palcam is seeking an experienced EDM Operator to join its Newmarket facility. You will work with both wire and sink EDM machines to produce high‑precision components for automotive tooling and aerospace applications.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret technical drawings, charts, and tables to set up machining jobs.
• Program and operate wire and sink EDM machines safely and efficiently.
• Maintain dimensional accuracy using precision measuring tools.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshoot issues.
• Document results, track deviations, and keep inspection records up to date.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience with EDM equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under production pressure.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
