CNC Machinist (Computer Numerical Control)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our Edmonton facility, operating both conventional and computer‑controlled machine tools to produce high‑precision components for our sand and gravel operations.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables.
• Set up and adjust production machinery and tools, including conventional and CNC equipment.
• Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerances.
• Verify dimensions of products using precision measuring instruments and maintain inspection records.
• Document and report deviations from specifications and complete inspection reports.
• Maintain machine tools and perform routine maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and workplace procedures.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 2 to less than 3 years of CNC machining experience.
• Flexibility, initiative and ability to work as a team player.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to work day, evening and weekend shifts.

Required skills

• CNC machine operation and programming.
• Conventional machine tool setup and adjustment.
• Interpretation of engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Precision measurement using micrometers, calipers and other instruments.
• Troubleshooting CNC machine errors.
