Early‑Career Engineer (Engineer‑in‑Training)

About the role

De Havilland Canada is seeking a motivated early‑career Engineer or Engineer‑in‑Training to join its engineering team. The role is part of a structured two‑year rotational development program that provides broad exposure to aircraft design, development, and certification activities.

Key responsibilities

• Support aircraft design, development, modification, and certification projects.
• Assist senior engineers with technical analyses, calculations, and engineering documentation.
• Participate in design reviews, investigations, and problem‑solving sessions.
• Help prepare and review engineering drawings, reports, specifications, and test documentation.
• Assist with validation and verification activities, including laboratory, ground, and flight test support.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams such as structures, systems, avionics, manufacturing, supply chain, and certification groups.
• Support configuration management and change incorporation activities.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives and engineering process development.
• Ensure work complies with engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and company procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• Eligibility for registration as an Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) or equivalent professional designation.
