About the role

Join the UBC Okanagan Child Care Centre as an Auxiliary Early Childhood Educator on an hourly basis. You will help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children in a licensed group setting.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and implement age‑appropriate activities that support children’s development.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and health‑compliant classroom.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and the broader university community.
• Collaborate with other educators to ensure consistent care and learning experiences.
• Adapt to varying shift schedules based on operational needs.

Required profile

• Current BC Early Childhood Educator (ECE) certification.
• Current Emergency Child Care First Aid certification.
• Clear Criminal Record Check.
• Strong organizational skills, patience, and sound judgment.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
