Drywall Installer – Full-time Permanent

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Drywall Installer to join HC INTERIORS on a permanent, full-time basis. The role involves installing drywall and related components in commercial and residential projects across various locations in Ontario.

Key responsibilities

  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
  • Apply joint compound with trowel and broad knife to fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks.
  • Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets on studs or furring.
  • Attach metal or gypsum lath and cut openings for heating, ventilation, ductwork and electrical outlets.
  • Install corner beads and wire mesh around beams prior to plastering.

Required profile

  • Ability to lift and handle loads up to 23 kg (50 lb) and work at heights.
  • Physical stamina for bending, crouching, kneeling and standing for long periods.
  • Experience of 7 months to less than 1 year in drywall installation.
  • Willingness to work early mornings, days and overtime under tight deadlines.
