Domestic Sewing Machine Mechanic

About the role

We are looking for a skilled mechanic to service and repair domestic sewing machines. The role involves hands‑on troubleshooting, part replacement, and ensuring machines operate safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect sewing machines to determine repair requirements.
• Repair or replace defective parts using hand, power, or specialized tools.
• Test and adjust repaired machines for proper functioning and calibrate as needed.
• Fabricate parts during overhaul or maintenance.
• Estimate repair costs and required materials.
• Install machinery and perform routine maintenance.

Required profile

• Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and strong hand‑eye coordination.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, kneel, and lift up to 23 kg.
• Willingness to undergo criminal record and driving record checks.
• Client‑focused attitude with reliable, organized work habits.

Required skills

• Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) knowledge.
• Proficiency with power tools and hand tools.
• Experience with electrical and electronic controls.
• Basic computer skills, including MS Outlook.
