Documentation Reviewer – Level 1

About the role

The Documentation Reviewer – Level 1 ensures that all quality control (QC) records and analytical data are reviewed, approved, and compliant with SGS’s laboratory standards, GMP, GDP, and client specifications. This position supports the delivery of accurate, regulatory‑compliant test results in a fast‑paced pharmaceutical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve QC data and records in accordance with SOPs, GMP, and GDP.
• Verify that records of validation, method transfer, and verification meet client and SGS protocols.
• Ensure out‑of‑specification (OOS) and deviation reports are closed before QA release.
• Audit log‑books and method development records, issue corrective forms, and track resolution.
• Provide guidance on non‑routine regulatory matters and lead SOP/analytical method improvements.
• Train and maintain qualified trainer records for staff development.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in a regulated pharmaceutical laboratory environment.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, GDP, and laboratory SOPs.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
