Dispatch / Customer Service Representative

About the role

Charger Logistics is seeking a motivated Dispatch/Customer Service Representative to join its Brampton office. You will act as the primary liaison between customers, brokers, and carriers, ensuring freight moves smoothly and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound freight to meet daily priorities and weekly transportation targets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, brokers, and carriers, addressing service risks and resolving issues promptly.
• Analyze lane data, on‑time performance and costs to negotiate rates with customers and third‑party carriers.
• Communicate with stakeholders to resolve pricing, service level, delivery schedule, and documentation discrepancies.
• Obtain shipment rates, negotiate with logistics service providers, select 3PL partners, track and expedite shipments, and resolve quality, quantity, or schedule issues.
• Verify and troubleshoot shipping or customs documentation such as PODs, BOLs, and carrier confirmations.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the trucking industry or dispatch.
• Educational background in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
• Proven ability to manage multiple, time‑sensitive projects.
• Knowledge of freight bidding, rate negotiation, and North American geography is a plus.
• Positive attitude, strong people skills, and proficiency with MS Office.
