About the role

We are looking for a compassionate Disability Support Worker to provide personal care and assistance to individuals with physical disabilities in a private home environment in Vancouver. The role involves supporting daily living activities, ensuring safety, and promoting independence.

Key responsibilities

Administer bedside and personal care, including bathing and hygiene.
Assist clients with water activities such as pool use.
Feed or assist with feeding and prepare nutritious meals.
Launder clothing and household linens and perform light housekeeping.
Provide companionship and support throughout the day.
Shop for food and household supplies as needed.
Ensure a non‑smoking environment and maintain client safety.
Work flexible shifts including early mornings, nights, weekends, on‑call and overtime.

Required profile

Minimum a Bachelor’s degree.
1–2 years of experience in disability support or similar field.
Current First Aid and Health Care Aide certificates.
Availability for shift work, on‑call duties and weekend/overtime schedules.
