About the role
We are looking for a compassionate Disability Support Worker to provide personal care and assistance to individuals with physical disabilities in a private home environment in Vancouver. The role involves supporting daily living activities, ensuring safety, and promoting independence.
Key responsibilities
- Administer bedside and personal care, including bathing and hygiene.
- Assist clients with water activities such as pool use.
- Feed or assist with feeding and prepare nutritious meals.
- Launder clothing and household linens and perform light housekeeping.
- Provide companionship and support throughout the day.
- Shop for food and household supplies as needed.
- Ensure a non‑smoking environment and maintain client safety.
- Work flexible shifts including early mornings, nights, weekends, on‑call and overtime.
Required profile
- Minimum a Bachelor’s degree.
- 1–2 years of experience in disability support or similar field.
- Current First Aid and Health Care Aide certificates.
- Availability for shift work, on‑call duties and weekend/overtime schedules.
