Director of Strategic Sourcing – Packaging (North America)

About the role

HelloFresh is looking for a senior leader to head the North America packaging sourcing function. Reporting to the VP of Strategic Sourcing, you will shape the end‑to‑end sourcing strategy for a rapidly expanding product portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and build the NA packaging sourcing organization, integrating US and Canada teams.
• Develop and execute short‑ and long‑term sourcing roadmaps aligned with growth objectives.
• Set and monitor OKRs for cost, supply‑chain resilience, innovation and supplier performance.
• Drive annual budgeting, savings initiatives and multi‑million‑dollar contract negotiations.
• Scale the supplier network, manage dual‑sourcing strategies and mitigate supply risks.
• Partner with Packaging Engineering to ensure quality and specification compliance.
• Identify opportunities to leverage global sourcing platforms and explore insourcing models.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading strategic sourcing or procurement teams, preferably in packaging.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate distinct regional functions and drive cultural alignment.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on total cost of ownership.
• Excellent negotiation skills and experience managing large‑scale contracts.
• Track record of delivering cost savings and supply‑chain performance improvements.
