Director of Operations

About the role

The Director of Operations will lead Lisi Aerospace Canada's manufacturing and support functions, driving lean initiatives, cost‑reduction programs and overall business performance. This senior leader will collaborate across all LISI operations to ensure best‑practice implementation and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations to meet targets for sales, on‑time delivery, EBIT, CAPEX, inventory, safety and quality.
• Develop and execute vision, strategy and objectives aligned with corporate goals.
• Implement LEAP (Lean, Efficiency, Automation, Performance) processes and monitor results.
• Maintain and improve health, safety and environmental (HSE) performance, reporting results as required.
• Manage ERP usage, internal manufacturing controls, and quality management system compliance.
• Lead cross‑functional teams including engineering, customer service and operations to enhance delivery, quality and profitability.
• Drive hiring, retention and development of high‑performing personnel.
• Participate in strategic planning, business process analysis and annual budgeting for CAPEX, purchasing and inventory.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in manufacturing, maintenance, logistics, planning or related areas.
• Demonstrated ability to lead lean or continuous‑improvement initiatives such as LEAP.
• Strong track record in health, safety and environmental management.
• Experience with ERP systems and quality management systems.
• Ability to develop and manage budgets, CAPEX projects and inventory strategies.
