About the role
C M T Transport Inc is seeking an experienced diesel mechanic to keep its fleet of heavy trucks running safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will diagnose faults, perform repairs, and ensure all maintenance work meets manufacturer specifications.
Key responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
- Diagnose issues using computerized testing equipment and determine required repairs.
- Order parts, maintain inventory, and replace defective components.
- Document maintenance activities and keep accurate reports.
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and compliance with specifications.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- 3 to less than 5 years of experience repairing heavy trucks.
- Availability for early‑morning, day, evening or weekend shifts as needed.
Required skills
- Diagnostic equipment operation.
- Heavy truck repair and component replacement.
- Maintenance reporting and documentation.
