DevOps Engineer

About the role

ShyftLabs is seeking a passionate DevOps Engineer to partner with development teams and accelerate the deployment, testing, and release of applications. You will automate and optimize infrastructure to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance across production, QA, and development environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and deliver cloud computing solutions and hosted services.
• Support and troubleshoot scalability, high‑availability, performance, monitoring, backup, and restore processes.
• Evaluate new tools, technologies, and processes to improve speed, efficiency, and scalability.
• Monitor server and application performance using tools such as NewRelic, CloudWatch, and Sumologic.
• Partner with application developers for seamless software deployment.
• Manage installation, configuration, routine maintenance, and diagnostic testing of infrastructure.
• Document processes and performance metrics; implement best practices in network administration and cybersecurity.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional DevOps experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related IT field.
• Experience in information security and networking.
• Strong background with Linux (RHEL) environments and command‑line tools (Bash, PowerShell).
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD platforms (GitLab CI/CD preferred, Azure DevOps acceptable).
• Proficiency in infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform preferred) and configuration‑management tools.
• Experience building dashboards and integrating monitoring/alerting tools (AWS CloudWatch, NewRelic).
