DevOps Engineer

About the role

AltaML is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join its cloud infrastructure and delivery engineering practice. You will own the design, implementation, and operation of multi‑cloud environments across Azure, AWS, and GCP, building pipelines, platforms, and automation that enable rapid, reliable software delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and GitLab CI.
• Architect and manage cloud infrastructure on Azure, AWS, and GCP with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation).
• Operate containerized workloads with Kubernetes (AKS, EKS, GKE) and Docker.
• Implement cloud security best practices, including IAM policies, network segmentation, secrets management, and vulnerability scanning.
• Develop observability stacks for logging, metrics, and alerting using Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus.
• Collaborate with software and ML engineering teams to define deployment strategies and reduce release risk.
• Evaluate and introduce tooling improvements to boost reliability, scalability, and developer productivity.
• Participate in incident response, post‑mortem analysis, and documentation of runbooks and DR procedures.
• Mentor junior team members on cloud and DevOps best practices.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 3–6 years of progressive DevOps, cloud engineering, or SRE experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience with at least two major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Proven ability to build and operate production CI/CD pipelines.
