Desktop Support / Endpoint Support Technician (6‑month contract)

About the role

This 6‑month contract position supports the organization’s technology infrastructure by managing the full lifecycle of laptop assets. The role focuses on retrieving out‑of‑warranty devices, configuring replacements, and ensuring a smooth transition for internal team members.

Key responsibilities

• Asset Collection & Recovery: Coordinate retrieval of out‑of‑warranty laptops and process them according to asset management policies.
• Device Deployment: Prepare, configure and deploy replacement laptops that meet organizational standards.
• Lifecycle Management: Track warranty status, identify devices due for replacement, and maintain an accurate hardware inventory.
• User Communication & Support: Act as the primary contact for team members, providing timelines, instructions and assistance throughout the refresh process.
• Data Integrity & Security: Perform data migration, backup and secure wiping of retired devices in line with IT security protocols.
• Documentation & Reporting: Keep detailed records of refresh activities, deployment schedules and asset logs for leadership review.
• Collaboration: Work with IT support, procurement and facilities teams to coordinate logistics and resolve issues.

Required profile

• Fluency in French is required.
• Strong communication abilities to guide users through the refresh process.
