Desktop Engineer

About the role

Fujitsu is seeking a Desktop Engineer to provide professional, on‑site and remote assistance to external clients. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues across desktops, laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices while supporting VIP users and participating in move projects.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Level 2 technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and network equipment.
• Diagnose and replace network gear such as switches and routers, and verify connectivity for newly deployed devices.
• Prepare hardware for surplus processes, remove equipment as needed, and support on‑call after‑hours rotations.
• Assist other support teams with on‑site troubleshooting and remote support when required.
• Provide status updates to management and end‑users, and escalate unresolved issues promptly.
• Contribute feedback for process improvements and Knowledge Base Articles.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience supporting Microsoft Windows OS and Active Directory.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, LAN/VPN connectivity, and hardware troubleshooting.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Valid driver’s license, ability to travel, lift up to 50 lb, and work on‑call after hours.
• Bilingual support (French/English) is a plus.
