Datacenter Network Architect – VXLAN/EVPN & Cisco Nexus

About the role

The Datacenter Network Architect will design and deliver modern data‑center networking solutions for remote clients. The role focuses on spine‑leaf, VXLAN/EVPN fabrics and Cisco Nexus platforms, ensuring scalable, secure and high‑performance infrastructures.

Key responsibilities

• Design and document high‑level and low‑level architectures for spine‑leaf, VXLAN/EVPN and fabric‑based topologies.
• Lead architecture discussions, define technical roadmaps and evaluate existing environments for future‑state planning.
• Oversee deployment of Cisco Nexus, ACI, VMware NSX and related data‑center technologies, including underlay/overlay integration.
• Validate configurations, perform readiness checks, and support migration planning and execution.
• Act as the primary escalation point for P1/P2 network incidents, troubleshoot complex routing, switching and virtualization issues, and provide root‑cause analysis.
• Implement secure network designs with micro‑segmentation, ACLs, firewalls and RBAC, ensuring compliance with security standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in data‑center networking and architecture.
• Proven expertise with Cisco Nexus platforms (5K/7K/9K) and fabric solutions such as ACI, Arista or Juniper.
• Hands‑on experience with VMware virtualization (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter) and network virtualization (NSX‑T preferred).
• Strong background in security integration, load balancing and application networking.
