Database Analyst (DBA) – Edmonton

About the role

We are seeking a Database Analyst (DBA) to join our IT team in Edmonton. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining robust database solutions that support our business applications and data‑driven decision making.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyze data to pinpoint improvement opportunities within the organization’s IT infrastructure.
• Design, develop, and maintain computer databases and data models.
• Document reporting requirements, queries, logic, results, and recommendations for other information‑systems professionals.
• Configure IT infrastructure to enable seamless application access to databases.
• Test database management systems and data models for performance and reliability.
• Operate DBMS to extract and analyze data as needed.
• Research and document data requirements, collection policies, administration rules, and access controls.
• Write and maintain scripts for stored procedures and triggers.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in database analysis, design, or administration.
• Ability to work mornings and standard daytime hours, with overtime as required.
