Data Scientist

About the role

Apexon is seeking a skilled Data Scientist to turn business challenges into data‑driven solutions. Reporting to the Director of Business Intelligence & Data Analytics, you will shape the data strategy, build predictive models, and uncover insights that boost performance.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to define business needs and KPIs.
• Lead data requirement discussions and streamline data exchange processes.
• Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, insights, and growth opportunities.
• Build, test, and deploy machine learning models and predictive solutions.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis and validate model performance.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Explore new tools, technologies, and data sources to enhance analytics capabilities.
• Ensure timely delivery of projects and analytics initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in data science or analytics, preferably in the payments industry.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
