Data Center Technician

About the role

The Data Center Technician is the primary resolver for the support team, handling complex hardware infrastructure issues and ensuring smooth operation of data‑center equipment. You will work autonomously, document solutions, and mentor junior staff while contributing to small and large projects.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and replace hardware components such as CPUs, motherboards, hard drives, memory modules, power supplies, servers, racks, routers and switches.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and share knowledge with junior technicians.
• Perform basic to intermediate system administration tasks, including remote administration in a virtual team.
• Automate repetitive tasks using scripts when needed.
• Act as the initial escalation point for junior staff and support weekend/rotational shifts.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of hands‑on hardware networking experience.
• Fluent in both French and English, with strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently, think creatively to troubleshoot, and follow detailed workflows.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for site travel.
• Eligibility to work in Canada for at least five years and obtain required clearances.
