About the role
The Peter Guo‑hua Fu School of Architecture at McGill University seeks a Course Lecturer to teach ARCH 520 – Urban Morphology during the Fall 2026 term. This fixed‑term appointment runs from August 31 to December 31, delivering three credits to undergraduate students.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver weekly lectures on urban morphology, covering theoretical and digital aspects.
- Design and assess assignments, projects, and examinations.
- Provide guidance and feedback to students during office hours.
- Collaborate with faculty to ensure course objectives align with program standards.
Required profile
- Professional practice experience in architecture and/or post‑secondary teaching experience.
- Advanced degree in architecture (M.Arch or equivalent).
- Authorization to work in Canada and willingness to work in Quebec.
- Fluent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
Required skills
- Technical and digital expertise relevant to urban morphology.
- Critical and theoretical knowledge of urban form.
What we offer
- Fixed‑term contract (August 31 – December 31 2026).
- Salary of $11,824 CAD for the term.
- Teaching load of three credits, scheduled Wednesdays 08:35 am–11:25 am in MDHAR 101.
