Course Lecturer – Selected Topics in Communication 2 (Fall 2026)

About the role

The McGill Writing Centre is seeking a Course Lecturer to teach the Graphos WCOM 672‑701 (Selected Topics in Communication 2) course during the Fall 2026 term. The position involves delivering 10 lectures (13 contact hours) on Tuesdays from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver structured course materials, including learning activities and assessments, aligned with the course description and target audience.
• Foster a positive classroom dynamic, manage student participation, and facilitate group interactions effectively.
• Utilise a variety of technologies to support student learning and keep course content current with advances in the field.
• Collaborate with the Faculty of Arts and university administration to address class management issues promptly.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in Agricultural or Environmental Sciences or a closely related field (e.g., Plant Science, Chemistry, Bioresource Engineering).
• Evidence of post‑secondary teaching training and experience teaching research planning, data collection, visualization, and scientific writing.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly in English, both orally and in writing.
• Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in teaching practices.
