About the role
The Department of Jewish Studies at McGill University seeks a qualified lecturer to teach JWST 320 D1 – Intermediate Hebrew during the Fall 2026 term.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver in‑person lectures on Tuesdays and Thursdays (11:35 – 12:55) in Leacock Building, room 617.
- Prepare course materials, assignments, and examinations.
- Assess student performance and provide feedback.
- Maintain accurate course records and grading documentation.
Required profile
- Advanced academic degree (preferably a PhD) in a field relevant to Hebrew language instruction.
- Extensive experience teaching Hebrew; academic teaching experience is a plus.
- Authorization to work in Canada and willingness to work in Quebec.
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Hebrew language instruction.
- Curriculum development and student assessment.
