Course Lecturer – Intermediate Hebrew (JWST 320 D1)

About the role

The Department of Jewish Studies at McGill University seeks a qualified lecturer to teach JWST 320 D1 – Intermediate Hebrew during the Fall 2026 term.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver in‑person lectures on Tuesdays and Thursdays (11:35 – 12:55) in Leacock Building, room 617.
• Prepare course materials, assignments, and examinations.
• Assess student performance and provide feedback.
• Maintain accurate course records and grading documentation.

Required profile

• Advanced academic degree (preferably a PhD) in a field relevant to Hebrew language instruction.
• Extensive experience teaching Hebrew; academic teaching experience is a plus.
• Authorization to work in Canada and willingness to work in Quebec.
• Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
