Course Lecturer – Gender and Disability (GSFS 303)

About the role
The Institute for Gender, Sexuality, and Feminist Studies at McGill University seeks a Course Lecturer to teach GSFS 303 – Gender and Disability. The position runs from August 31 to December 4, 2026, with weekly sessions on Fridays from 2:35 pm to 5:25 pm. The lecturer will engage approximately 60 students in critical theories of impairment and social‑justice perspectives.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver weekly lectures and facilitate class discussions.
- Prepare and update course materials, including readings and outlines.
- Design and grade assignments, exams, and other assessments.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
- Provide timely feedback and support to students.
Required profile
- Master’s degree (PhD preferred) in a relevant field.
- University‑level teaching experience.
- Authorization to work in Canada and willingness to work in Quebec.
- Strong command of English, both spoken and written.
