Course Lecturer – Fundamentals of Epidemiology (Fall 2026)

About the role

The Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics & Occupational Health at McGill University seeks a Course Lecturer for the Fall 2026 offering of Fundamentals of Epidemiology (EPIB 601-002). This 4‑credit course introduces core epidemiologic concepts to undergraduate or graduate students.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:35 am to 10:25 am in room EDUC, 629.
• Prepare and update course materials, including slides, readings, and assessments.
• Facilitate classroom discussions and guide students through epidemiologic case studies.
• Assess student performance through assignments, exams, and participation.
• Maintain academic integrity and adhere to university policies.

Required profile

• PhD candidate in Epidemiology or holder of a completed PhD in Epidemiology.
• Successful completion of a comprehensive examination.
• Authorization to work in Canada and willingness to work in Quebec.
• Proficiency in English communication, both verbal and written.
