Course Lecturer – Architectural Graphics (Winter 2027)

About the role

The Peter Guo‑hua Fu School of Architecture at McGill University seeks a Course Lecturer for the Winter 2027 term to teach ARCH 202 – Architectural Graphics and Elements of Design. The role involves leading studio‑based instruction, lectures, seminars and field trips focused on urban architectural design.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver weekly lectures and studio sessions covering architectural graphics, model making and sustainable design.
• Develop and assess assignments, projects and examinations aligned with CACB Student Performance Criteria.
• Coordinate with co‑instructors, the Director and the Studio Coordinator to finalize schedules, resources and technical support.
• Guide students through site analysis, design development and representation techniques.
• Ensure course material complies with University Calendar regulations and pedagogical objectives.

Required profile

• M.Arch. or equivalent first‑professional degree.
• Professional practice experience in architecture.
• Post‑secondary teaching experience in architecture or related fields.
• Strong theoretical and digital expertise relevant to architectural graphics.

Required skills

• Architectural drawing (plan, section, elevation, axonometric, perspective).
• Model making and physical representation.
• Architectural rendering and digital visualization.
• Site analysis and sustainable design principles.
