Course Instructor – Geography (Fall/Winter 2026/2027)

About the role

Nipissing University is seeking qualified part‑time instructors to teach Geography courses during the Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 terms. The position involves delivering 36 instructional hours over a 12‑week period for each assigned course, either on‑campus in North Bay or through online asynchronous delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess course content for assigned Geography sections.
• Maintain regular office hours and be available to meet students outside scheduled class time.
• Complete mandatory university training and adhere to Nipissing University policies and procedures.
• Provide timely feedback and grades for assignments, exams, and projects.

Required profile

• Completed PhD in Geography (or near completion) preferred; a master’s degree is required.
• Demonstrated ability to teach at the post‑secondary level is an asset.
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada (citizen, permanent resident, or appropriate work permit).

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Geography subject matter across the listed courses.
• Effective communication and instructional design for both face‑to‑face and online environments.
