About the role
ABB is looking for a Corporate Security Specialist to join its Corporate Security team in Canada, based in Montreal. The role is hybrid and split roughly 50/50 between day-to-day security operations across Canada and producing intelligence products on geopolitical, operational and business risks. It suits someone who is analytically minded, comfortable with AI and data analytics, and eager to learn across several security disciplines.
Key responsibilities
- Support physical security across facilities and project sites, coordinate security vendors and guards, and manage access control, surveillance and visitor management systems.
- Carry out security assessments, audits and risk reviews, and support investigations, incident response and corrective actions.
- Develop crisis preparedness and emergency communications plans, support continuity planning, security awareness, travel security and executive protection.
- Lead special security projects and maintain security metrics, dashboards and leadership reporting with the Country Security Manager.
- Monitor geopolitical, security, crime, supply chain, unrest and continuity risks through open-source research, and assess emerging threats and their business impact.
- Produce reports, alerts and executive briefings, and align intelligence methods with global security teams.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as security, intelligence, political science, international relations, criminal justice, business, IT or data analytics.
- Experience or knowledge in corporate security, intelligence, investigations, risk management, business continuity, physical security systems, travel risk or supply chain security; CPP, PCI or PSP certification, or a military/law enforcement background, is an asset.
- Proficiency in French and English, and eligibility to work in Canada and to obtain or maintain a security clearance if required.
Required skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational and prioritization skills, with sound judgment and discretion on sensitive information.
- Microsoft 365 proficiency and familiarity with data visualization, automation and AI-enabled tools.
