Corporate Designer

About the role

Merit Kitchens is seeking a Corporate Designer to work closely with dealers across Western Canada. You will translate client needs into functional kitchen designs, leveraging industry‑leading software and your own design expertise to enhance the Merit experience.

Key responsibilities

• Consult with dealers to understand space requirements, preferences, and functional goals.
• Create detailed layout plans, elevations, and drawings using 20/20 Kitchen Design software.
• Select colours, finishes, and materials and prepare specifications that meet current codes and standards.
• Estimate project costs and material quantities using Merit Kitchens Spec Books.
• Prepare sales quotes, design proposals, and reports that showcase the benefits of Merit products.
• Provide product training to dealers and contribute input to product development when needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Professional appearance and strong telephone etiquette.
• Experience in a customer‑facing role with solid oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with dealers.
• Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and capable of working independently or within a team.
• Effective time‑management and adaptability to changing priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 20/20 Kitchen Design software.
• Strong command of Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
