Corporate Controller

About the role

Our client, a private‑equity backed manufacturing group, is looking for a Corporate Controller to drive a finance transformation that includes an IFRS conversion, preparation for public‑company reporting and an ERP modernization. The role reports to the CFO in Germany and works closely with finance teams across North America, with an initial focus on leading the IFRS conversion.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full IFRS conversion, restating prior periods, preparing for audit and establishing IFRS‑compliant accounting policies.
• Oversee year‑end financial reporting to ensure complete IFRS compliance.
• Develop and formalize accounting policies, procedures, internal controls and governance frameworks.
• Manage all divisional controllership activities, including financial reporting, internal controls, audit coordination and regulatory compliance.
• Partner with global finance teams on consolidation, tax, compliance and reporting matters.
• Support the organization’s progression toward public‑company standards and reporting requirements.
• Drive ERP implementation or modernization projects, preferably SAP.

Required profile

• CPA designation.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience, including prior Corporate Controller or senior finance roles in manufacturing.
• Demonstrated expertise in IFRS conversion and public‑company reporting.
• Experience leading large‑scale finance transformation projects, especially ERP implementations.
• Background in complex, process‑driven manufacturing environments (e.g., chemicals, industrial products).
• Proven ability to work in multinational organizations and collaborate with global stakeholders.
