Cook – Thai Cuisine

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Cook to join our team at Bangkok Express, a Thai restaurant in Montréal. The successful candidate will prepare and cook a variety of Thai dishes, ensuring quality, consistency, and compliance with food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Determine portion sizes and associated costs, and plan menus with accurate food requirement estimates.
• Order and receive food and kitchen supplies, maintain inventory records, and ensure proper storage.
• Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, including accommodations for food allergies or intolerances.
• Inspect kitchen and service areas, keep workspaces clean, and uphold health and safety standards.
• Train and guide staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and safe handling practices.

Required profile

• Dependable, flexible, and able to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Organized with strong time‑management skills and attention to detail.
• Team player who can collaborate effectively with kitchen and front‑of‑house staff.
• Physically capable of standing for extended periods and handling demanding tasks.
