About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Cook to join our team at Lil Ava's Pizza in Mackenzie. The role involves preparing and cooking a variety of meals in a fast‑paced, rural restaurant environment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, including options for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards.
- Train staff on food preparation, cooking techniques, and proper handling.
- Order supplies and equipment, maintain inventory records, and manage kitchen stock.
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, overseeing daily kitchen operations.
- Clean kitchen and work areas, and keep equipment in good condition.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- 1–2 years of experience working in a restaurant kitchen.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast‑paced environment, standing for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle repetitive tasks.
