Cook – Full-time Permanent Position

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Cook to join our team at QHUB in Hinton, Alberta. This permanent, full-time position involves preparing high-quality meals in a fast‑paced restaurant and catering environment while ensuring food safety and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook complete meals, individual dishes, and special meals for customers with allergies or dietary restrictions.
• Plan menus, estimate food requirements, and determine portion sizes and costs for special events, buffets and banquets.
• Order and requisition food, kitchen supplies, and equipment while maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring compliance with safe food handling and hygiene standards.
• Inspect kitchen and service areas, keep workspaces clean, and manage kitchen operations efficiently.

Required profile

• College or equivalent culinary certificate (1‑2 year program).
• 1–2 years of experience in restaurant, catering, hotel or bakery settings.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends and overtime.
• Physical ability to handle heavy loads, stand for long periods and work under pressure.
